Greetings from The Pride! The Pride is based in Bimeda's Le Sueur location and is our community outreach programme, which is headed up by our Pride Committee . Each year we carry out a range of activities and events which support great community causes, and are also lots of fun for the Bimeda employees who get involved.
The Pride's most recent event was our October Pie Off, which was held to raise money for the Feed My Starving Children foundation. Employees were invited to bake a pie which was then entered into the Pie Off competition. The categories were:
- Best Unconventional Flavor
- Best Name
- Best Flavor
Employees showed their characteristic kindness and raised $440 dollars for the cause, which was matched by Bimeda.
In case you are wondering who the winners were, here you have them:
- Best Unconventional Flavor - Kerri Gustafson (Pear-adise Pie) and Doug Rustman (Miss My Campfire Pie),
- Best Name - Kris Lennartson (Squirrel Bait)
- Best Flavor - Teresa Haycraft (Butterfinger-licious).
But it doesn't stop there….for November the Pride is teaming together with the LSH Backpack Nutrition program, which is an initiative that strives to make lunches for children 5th grade children. The program leaders meet every Thursday from 5pm-6pm and the Pride are planning to volunteer their time to this great cause during the month of November.
The team are proud to give back to these worthy causes and can't wait to bring you further updates about our exciting future initiatives.
